SRD Outstanding Research Award
The SRD Outstanding Research Award is given for outstanding basic and applied research in animal reproduction. The SRD Award Committee has selected the following member as the winner in 2024:
Yoshikazu NAGAO (School of Agriculture, Utsunomiya University)
for “Multiple research organization in reproductive technology based on bovine embryo manipulation”,
Nobuhiko YAMAUCHI (Faculty of Agriculture, Graduate school of Bioresource Science, Kyushu University)
for “Development of a three-dimensional culture model of endometrium to study embryo-uterine interactions”.
SRD Young Investigator Award
The SRD Young Investigator Award is given for outstanding research in animal reproduction which was performed by an exceptionally promising young investigator who has not reached the age of 40 before April 1st of the year when the award is presented. The SRD Award Committee has selected the following member as the winner in 2024:
Kenichiro SAKAGUCHI (Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences, Gifu University)
for “Optimization of ovum pick-up-in vitro fertilization and in vitro growth of immature oocytes in ruminants”.
SRD Outstanding Presentation Award
The SRD Outstanding Presentation Award is given for outstanding oral presentations at the annual meeting of SRD. The chair of the 117th annual meeting of SRD selected the following four members as the winners in 2024:
- Ryua HARIMA (Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University) for "Mouse Tctex1d2 has specific functions in sperm flagellum formation that are not present in somatic cilia formation",
- Yoko NAKADAIRA (Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Tokyo) for "Search for genes causing bovine genital malformation, incomplete fusion of the Mullerian ducts, and analysis of the pathogenic mechanism",
- Hiroki NAGAI (Graduate School of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology) for "Cytogenetically abnormal blastomeres are excluded before blastocyst formation by partial compaction",
- Shoma MATSUMOTO (Shiga Univ of Medical Science) for “Establishment of in vitro implantation system using human and cynomolgus monkey endometrial organoids",
- Rei ICHIKAWA (Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University) for "Effect of microRNAs contained in intrauterine EVs on embryonic gene expressions in low-fertility cows".
