The 111th SRD Meeting will be held at Shinshu University Ueda Campus from 12th to 16th September 2018. The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to the SRD Annual Meeting.   • Honorary member: Free / Regular & Silver member: Early-bird 5,000 yen, On-site 6,000 yen / Student member: Early-bird 3,000 yen, On-site 3,500 yen / Non-member: 8,000 yen. Registration fees include a printed copy of the proceedings.

  • 6. Welcome Reception
  • All attendees are welcomed to join the party, scheduled on 13th September 18:30-20:30 at Ueda Tokyu REI Hotel. Participation fee is; Honorary member: Free / Regular & Silver member: Early-bird 5,000 yen, On-site 6,000 yen / Student member: Early-bird 3,000 yen, On-site 3,500 yen / Non-member: Early-bird 7,000 yen, On-site 8,000 yen.

  • Shinshu University has five campuses in Nagano prefecture. For the transportation to the UEDA campus, please visit the following

  • 8. Ordinal presentations
  • Oral presentations
  • 10-min presentation with 5-min discussion will be allocated to each presentation. Several days prior to the presentation, each presenter should submit a PDF file for his/her presentation to the 111th SRD Organizing Committee via email (srd111@shinshu-u.ac.jp). Otherwise (upon request), his/her own laptop computer can be directly connected to on-site projector.
  • Poster presentations
  • Posters about 84 cm wide and 120 cm height will be prepared. Put your poster on the board with the identified presentation number at 14:00-18:00 on September 13 (Thu) or at 8:00-10:30 on September 14 (Fri) in the poster presentation area (the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology; Building-N, 7F-1). Magnets are prepared for display. The formal poster session is on 14th (Fri) and 15th (Sat) of September. The poster presenters will need to stand by your poster to give a presentation, answer questions and meet colleagues with similar research interests.

    For EVEN number posters: on September 14 (Fri) 10:30–12:00
    For ODD number posters: on September 15 (Sat) 13:00-14:30

    Remove your posters by 17:00 on September 15 (Sat). The office staff will take away all the unremoved posters after that time.

  • 9. Evaluation for the SRD Outstanding Presentation Award
  • Location:Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology; Building-N, 7F-1
    Date and time: September 13 (Thu) at 9:00-11:00

    At the 111th annual meeting, competitive presentations will be held in the oral section with two categories; category 1 for student members and category 2 for young regular members. Six titles in category 1 (AW1-1–AW1-6) and two titles in category 2 (AW2-1 and AW2-2) have been selected after the primary evaluation. The results of the evaluation have been already informed to the first authors. These titles will be further evaluated at the meeting (the 2nd evaluation). The presentation (plus discussion) will be evaluated by the designated reviewers, and excellent titles will be awarded at the General Meeting on September 14.

  • 10. Memorial Ceremony for the late SRD President, Dr. Kei-ichiro Maeda
  • Location:Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology; Building-N, 7F-1
    Date and time: September 13 (Thu) at 11:15-11:45

    The ceremony is performed in Japanese.
    We lost President Maeda this February. All the SRD members offer gratitude and condolence at this ceremony.

  • 11. General Meeting & Ceremony for the SRD Awards
  • Location: The Auditorium; Building-E
    Date & time: September 14 (Fri) at 14:30-18:00.

    The programs are performed in Japanese.
    The details will be placed in the abstract book (in Japanese).
    After the ceremony, the winners for Outstanding Research Award and Innovative Technology Award will give their presentations.

  • 12. Young Researchers՚ Symposium (Japan-Korea-China Young Researchers’ Symposium)
  • Venue: Lecture Building (Building-D) 1F, Lecture Room No.10
    Date & time: September 12 (Wed) at 13:00-16:30
    Theme: Organelle Dynamics in Reproductive Biology

    This time, the young researcher’s symposium will be held under the collaboration with the 5th Japan-Korea-China Joint Symposium (main symposium, held on September 16). The symposium is planned to facilitate scientific activities and friendship for young scientists of the three countries.

  • 13. Luncheon Seminar by the Committee for Promotion of Gender Equality
  • Venue: Lecture Building (Building-D) 3F, Lecture Room No.32
    Date & time: September 14 (Fri) at 12:00-13:00
    Theme: Work Life Balance of SRD Members -from Data of the Large Scale Survey in 2016-

    This seminar is operated in Japanese.
    The SRD Committee for Promotion of Gender Equality has planned a luncheon seminar to provide the opportunity to consider the significance of gender equality. We encourage the attendees of the meeting to join this seminar and share ideas about gender equality across different ages and current situations.
    *Limited number of the lunch tickets will be served at the registration desk from 8:30 on September 14 (Fri), on a first-come-first-served basis.

    Four female researchers will talk about their current research and experience.

  • 17. Japan-Korea-China Joint Symposium (main symposium)
  • Venue: Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (Building-N) 7F, Meeting Room No.1
    Date& time: September 16 (Sun) at 10:00-16:30
    Theme: Focus on Advanced Technologies for Animal Reproduction

    The 5th Japan-Korea-China Joint Symposium has three topics. In each topic, three speakers from each country will make presentation.

    Farewell party is scheduled after the symposium at Mulberry Hall (Building-M) 1F from 17:00 to 18:30.

    Poster presentation of the 5th Japan-Korea-China Joint Symposium will be held on September 15 (Sat) 10:30-12:00, at Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (Building-N) 7F, Meeting Room No.3.
