An abstract book is included in the registration fee. The persons who had paid early application fee will receive the abstract book in advance by postage. Please receive your name card at the registration desk. The persons who will make a registration at the desk, will receive the book and name card at the desk. Regular members will receive an abstract book in advance regardless of the payment of the registration fee.

- Oral presentation (OR1-1–OR1-41, OR2-1–OR2-40)
Presentation time is 10 min plus 5 min for discussion (total 15 min). We will prepare a Windows PC installed Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010. Please check the compatibility in advance if you prepare your file using the same software but in another version. Bring your file within USB flush memory or CD-R to submission desk.
Poster presentation (P-40–P-133)
Poster boards about 85 cm wide and 120 cm height will be prepared in the Poster Presentation Area. The formal poster session is on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of September, however your poster can be on display for the duration of the conference. You need to stand by your poster to answer questions and meet colleagues with similar research interests as follows.
For ODD number posters: September 12 (Thu) 14:30–16:30
For EVEN number posters: September 13 (Fri) 15:00–17:00
Put your poster on the board with the identified presentation number by 11:00 on September 12, and remove your posters after the presentation by 10:00 on September 14. The office staff will take away all posters which will not be removed by the authors.

Oral presentation section
September 12 (Thu) 13:00–14:30, Auditorium
Six titles (AW-1–AW-6) have been selected after the primary evaluation. The results of the evaluation had been already informed to the first authors. These titles will be further evaluated by the oral presentation by the first author (the 2nd evaluation), which will be held during the time mentioned above. The presentation including discussion will be evaluated, and some titles will be awarded during General Meeting on September 13. Poster presentation section
September 12 (Thu) 14:30–16:30, Poster Presentation Area (The first lecture building) Thirty-nine titles (P-1–P-39) have been submitted for the poster presentation award section. The posters with these titles will be put on the board with the identified presentation number by 11:00 on September 12. The first authors should stand during the presentation time mentioned above and have discussion with participants including evaluators. The presentation including discussion will be evaluated, and some titles will be awarded during General Meeting on September 13. The posters will be continuously presented until next day. If it will be your convenience, please stand again and have discussion during September 13 (Fri) 15:00–17:00. However, no evaluation will be done on the 2nd day. Finally, remove your poster after the presentation by 10:00 September 14. The office staff will take away all posters which will not be removed by the authors. - 10. Regular Symposia

We will organize two symposia entitled “Estrus of dairy cows – Recent findings to improve the conception rate” and “Effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals on reproduction and development”. We would like to offer opportunities for free and active discussions among the participants. Both symposia will be operated in Japanese.

Symposium 1 (Room 1): Estrus of dairy cows – Recent findings to improve the conception rate
1. Natsumi ENDO (Gifu University) et al. Follicular and luteal dynamics and blood profiles of progesterone, estradiol-17β and LH during the estrous cycle and the periovulatory phase in lactating dairy cows.
2. Hajime YOSHIOKA (National Livestock Breeding Center), Relationships between estrous intensity (Pedometry and Radiotelemetric mount detector) and ovulation, in beef cows and lactating dairy cows.
3. Minoru SAKAGUCHI (Kitasato University), Postpartum ovulation and estrus expression of high-yielding dairy cows in relation to their subsequent fertility.
4. Toshiaki SUMIYOSHI (NOSAI Kanagawa) et al., Investigation into optimal timing of artificial insemination based on estrous signs in lactating dairy cows kept in tie stalls.
5. Kiyosuke NAGAI (NOSAI Kimotsuki) et al., Investigation into mechanisms of postpartum subnormal estrus such as silent ovulation in milking dairy cows using Shiba goats as experimental animal.
Symposium 2 (Room 2): Effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals on reproduction and development
1. Makoto YOKOSUKA (Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University), Effects of the neonatal exposure of estrogenic chemical to the cell aggregates of the sexual dimorphic nucleus and adult neurogenesis.
2. Mariko SHIROTA (Azabu University), Delayed effects of neonatal exposure to estrogenic compounds – Analyses from a toxicological point of view.
3. Maiko KAWAGUCHI (Meiji University) et al., Effects of neonatal ethynyl estradiol exposure to female rats on sexual behavior.

Mini symposium for students and young researchers will be held, as in the past, to promote scientific activity and friendship for young scientists. The SRD committee for the promotion of young scientists will offer interesting events to attendees. We encourage many young researchers (as well as senior researchers) to join us to talk about their interests with each other in person. - 13. SRD committee for promotion of gender equality has planned luncheon seminar to provide the opportunity to consider the significance of gender equality. We encourage attendees to join this seminar to share ideas about gender equality across ages and the current situations.

Reproductive technologies such as sperm sexing, embryo sexing, transgenic animal etc. have been developed for improvement of animal breeding and efficient production. They are now applied to human infertility therapy. This open seminar will provide three topics, 1) Germ cell manipulation techniques in human infertility therapy, 2) History of Germ cell manipulation techniques, 3) Current status and future perspectives of germ cell manipulation techniques. They will provide the opportunity to consider the role of reproductive technology research and its importance with citizens. The seminar will be operated in Japanese.

Topic 2. Yoshiyuki TAKAHASHI (Genetics Hokkaido Assoc.), Progress in Animal Reproductive Technologies.
